Please take quick action below to participate in the Bureau of Land Management's long-term Management Evaluation Report for the Antelope and Triple B Complexes which span over 2.8 million acres in eastern Nevada. These Complexes are home to an estimated 9,000 wild horses.

Sadly, the BLM has resurrected an ill-conceived plan that calls for castrating 200 stallions and using the GonaCon sterilant on as many mares as possible -- permanently sterilizing them in as few as two applications. It doesn't stop there! Their plan allows for experimental IUDs and drastically skewing the natural sex ratio by removing more mares and leaving a higher percentage of stallions. This sex skewing will increase aggression among stallions as they compete for mares, threatening the social fabric and stability of the bands.

As we write this, we can’t help but think: "Only those who hate wild horses would devise such a plan. Only those who view them as a problem to be eliminated would consider this multi-pronged approach to their destruction.

BLM has created this disastrous plan because it wants to continue the preferential treatment for thousands of private livestock grazing on our public lands. They cannot keep rounding up and warehousing wild horses in government holding facilities because (1) there are not enough holding facilities available and (2) it is too costly.

Getting public comments on the record is important -- otherwise, BLM can claim Americans support this grotesque mismanagement.

Please join The Cloud Foundation and fight for fair and humane management that preserves natural wild behaviors, family, and freedom. Please click the TAKE ACTION below to personalize and submit your comments by November 14.
