A Wind River Rescue
Safe at last… The foals and Grace arrive at our equine vet Dr. Lisa Jacobson’s ranch for care and quarantine.
It all started in late spring through mid-summer of 2023 when thousands of horses were rounded up from the Wind River Reservation in Wyoming.
So many answered the call to rescue the hundreds of Wind River foals rounded up from the reservation and then purchased by kill pens. READ TCF Executive Director, Kerry Ferguson's, journey to rescue 6 foals... and one miracle mare!
Check out our video of Amazing Grace and “her” foals. Grace stepped right in to look out for these babies who were separated from their mothers after being rounded up and taken to a kill pen in Colorado.
