BLM to Implement Barbaric Plan to Rip Out Ovaries of Wild Mares With Chain

Yesterday, BLM Utah issued a Decision Record that, if implemented, would mark the beginning of the end of wild horses as we know them. The Decision approves destroying natural, wild behaviors using the gruesome procedure "ovariectomy via colpotomy" (more here) and castration of stallions.

Wild horses have one of the most complex social structures of any wildlife in North America -- these surgeries will forever alter their natural behaviors. Ovariectomy and castration are primarily used in domestic settings to change horse behaviors, making them more "manageable", those same behavior changes will occur in our wild horses.
