The Importance of Public Comments [Video]

When it comes to having a say in how our public lands are managed, it often seems like our words fall on deaf ears. Sometimes, that might even be true. So why bother?

Just because government doesn't appear to be listening does not absolve us from our responsibility as citizens of a representative republic to be involved in our own government and make our voices heard. In fact, raising voices of concern, outrage and dissent is the only thing, historically, that has ever made a difference. In modern times, when we take legal action to stop government agencies from running roughshod over due process, the voices of the public DO matter.

In this short video, Ginger talks about why making public comments is so critical - and of the crucial aspect of defending NEPA - the National Environmental Policy Act - NOW.
