BIG News From North Dakota!
We'll be brief because this news stands on its own!
The Park Service has announced that the wild horses in Theodore Roosevelt National Park (TRNP) will be allowed to remain!
TRNP, located in North Dakota, is dedicated in honor of President Theodore "Teddy" Roosevelt and his leadership in conservation policy, and The Cloud Foundation has worked hard over the years to protect this herd through preservation efforts as well as adoption when needed (see below). BIG thanks to the hard work of advocacy groups across the nation - particularly our partners in North Dakota (Chasing Horses Wild Horse Advocates, North Dakota Badlands Horse, Wild Lands Wild Horses) - and YOU. This is a HUGE win.
It's so easy to get used to the disappointment that accompanies this work. We have to remember that TOGETHER WE CAN MOVE MOUNTAINS AND MAKE MIRACLES! We DO make a difference! We can NEVER GIVE UP!
THANK YOU for your partnership in speaking up for these magnificent ICONS of our American heritage! If you can take a moment to thank the Park Service, Senator John Hoeven, ND Gov. Doug Burgum, and other leaders who worked so hard to save this herd, it will not go unnoticed!
Congratulations!!
