TCF Statement on Bible Springs Roundup Deaths

The Cloud Foundation condemns the unnecessary and inhumane actions of the Bureau of Land Management in Utah, which have led to the deaths of four animals. Rangeland conditions in this area have been good, and these animals were otherwise healthy. Because the BLM Cedar City Field Office arbitrarily decided to roundup and remove these horses, four of them have now paid the ultimate price. Wild horses continue to bear the brunt of BLM’s nonsensical management policies. In this situation, we have seen the worst possible outcome. We implore this field office to cease all roundup efforts until they can ensure they’re doing it in a safe, humane way that does not endanger these animals.
