Rescue Update: Kachina Goes Home
There's a lot of "bad news" in the world today. Right now at TCF we're working on our detailed assessment of the BLM's most recent disaster plan for wild horses and fiscal year 2021 appropriations. We'll be calling on you soon to take action.
Today, however, we're sharing some good news, because we all need that in our lives too. TCF rescued Kachina, daughter of Pryor "power couple" Baja and Washakie, from a situation of neglect. After recovering with our fantastic eqiune vet, Dr. Lisa, Kachina left her new home last week!
When we commit to a rescue it takes a village to make it happen! This one would not have been possible without Lisa Friday, who generously sponsored Kachina's transport from Colorado to the East Coast.
We also owe thanks to Dr. Lisa Jacobson, Equine Advocates in New York State, the amazing haulers who transported her, and all of you who donate and support our work!
You can see Kachina's story and the video Ginger made to celebrate her "homecoming" below!
