North Lander Wyoming Wild Horses Need Your Voice Now

The government is prepping to implement one of the most misguided plans we've ever seen for the wild horses in the 4 Herd Management Areas which make up the North Lander Complex in Wyoming.

This is a brazen assault on these herds and they need you to speak for them today.

Here are the horrors this EA proposes:

- Castrate up to 95% of stallions returned to the range.

- Dose wild mares with Gonacon, a fertility control agent that is likely irreversible after multiple injections and destroys the natural hormone production which makes our wild horses who they are.

- Insert IUDs into non-pregnant mares who are released back on the range - in ADDITION to Gonacon!

- Create social havoc for these herds by artificially skewing the sex ratio so that there are more stallions than mares on the range, putting mares and foals in danger due to increased competition.

The Bureau will roundup and remove more than HALF of the horses in this complex so that commercial livestock can continue to take 88-93% of the forage on these public lands.

We all must stand against this Disaster Plan for the North Lander herds.

Want to go one step further for these wild horses?

Fellow advocate Carol Walker has outlined how to submit public comments against this Disaster Plan.

Public comments are SO important. They show the government that Americans DO care about and participate in governmental processes, a RIGHT and a DUTY afforded us by our Constitution.

They are also the only way we have "standing" when we need to bring a lawsuit. To quickly and easily submit comments of your own, click below to read Carol's blog. She's laid it all out for you!
